ants

well we had some ant intruders this morning by our back door.  i've already cleaned them up with vinegar earlier today and they're already back hunting and exploring!  so annoying.

anyway i took this opportunity to teach cohen the parts of an ant which allowed us to not only learn something new about bugs (he loves bugs!) but we worked on spelling and writing as well.

kitchen tales

our easter meal was pizza, requested by cohen and hew had so much fun making his own pizza and helping me rinse the mushrooms and slicing them.  he said it was the best pizza he's ever had.

i've also realized that nothing beats walking out to your herb garden to get ingredients for dinner, we have so much cilantro!

CO-SLEEPING

i am so in love with co-sleeping.  to me, it's the sweetest time.  i love laying in bed with c and reading, sharing silly stories and cuddling with his sweet little kisses inbetween.  we talk about our day as he falls asleep to me brushing his hair with my fingers.  this is something we've done since the day he was brought home from the hospital.  i love waking up to him snuggled up against me.  he always wakes up before me, and it's usually with a soft stroke to my cheek and a "good morning angel" and then we cuddle in bed for a little, maybe watch some little bear.  we even eat breakfast in bed on most days, it's really magical for me.  our days are just so crazy that i really cherish this down time.  our queen sized bed is getting really cramped now though, well i'm okay with it, i think it's cozy.  d and i may not be the best couple, we don't agree on much at all but i do really appreciate him letting me enjoy co-sleeping all these years.  he enjoys it too, but now his sleep is getting affected and he is the one who has to wakeup for work every day at 4 am.  i think a good solution would to get the biggest bed we can find, i would love to have a family bed and share it with all of our children.  what are your thoughts on co-sleeping/the family bed?

happy easter!

yesterday i took cohen to see rio, it was such a cute and funny movie!  we arrived  a little early so we had some time to walk around the shopping center and talk.

this evening we coloured our easter eggs.

tomorrow we do our egg hunt, eat brunch and then for easter dinner we are making our own pizzas.  can't wait!
