back in the days of myspace i was obsessed with taking surveys, i filled everyone's bulletins with random facts about myself that i'm sure no one read.  this is a major flashback.

current book - a book for our pwoc book club called 'girls gone wise in a world gone wild'.

current drink - just 15 cherry limeade by minute maid.
current food - oatmeal, the better oats brand is my obsession.
current favorite show - vampire diaries, i'm having serious withdrawals.
current wish list - i just want a successful move, thats the only thing on my mind.
current bane of my existence - this move
current slang or saying - ghost typing; when you've laughed so hard that you've died and now you're ghost has come back to finish the conversation.  i know, my friends and i are so weird.
current outfit - a maxi dress.
current excitement - this move! {i told you this was the only thing on my mind!}
current mood - motivated, i'm ready to clean!

quiet on the set!

today cohen is a chef.  he decided that he was going to host his own cooking show and his first meal was a 'yummy snack' consisting of grapefruit.  he cut it up in even pieces like a pro. the only downside was that i had to eat his creation, and i really dislike grapefruit in it's natural state. i like grapefruit flavoured things though, weird i know.

rambles + a show

hi! is there anyone out there? i've been completely neglecting this thing and falling into my old blogging habits.  my mind has been totally preoccupied with this moving business, i only have like 6 weeks left here and nothing at all is done.  i don't even have movers scheduled yet.  i've done a lot of dream shopping, because i know that i'm going to have to buy real winter clothes this winter and i never wear real winter clothes.  my typical winter attire goes something like this:  motorcycle boots, leggings, a light 'leather' jacket, and a scarf.  even when i'm playing in the snow, but i have a feeling that will not cut it in bavaria!  i think i'm going to pull my inspiration from bella swan when i pick out a rain coat and stuff, i love her style... or lack there of.   i think i'm going to post a style board really soon, i used to love making them and i haven't in a long time.

last night we went into the city to take coco to see how to train your dragon live.  i was really nervous because i always cry during that movie... i mean the whole movie.  i cry because i feel so bad about the relationship between father and son and i cry even more when hiccup first interacts with toothless, like when he finally lets him pet him.  to me they are so cat like and it just makes me really emotional.  luckily, i kept my composure.  it was so cool, the dragons were really realistic and coco had a blast.  we also got to spend a little time in chinatown, i love chinatown.

               

ps. its dark and rainy out and on days like this i feel like it is completely mandatory to listen to all of the twilight soundtracks on repeat all day long!

lately...

-we've gone to more doctors appointments, we did another screening for europe and i finally did my physical and i'm all healthy {except for my lack of vitamin d, but i hate milk and the sun!}.
-i saw a giant wolf spider carrying babies on its back, i want to post the picture but i don't want to traumatize anyone!
-cohen knocked out my husbands front tooth while wrestling, he looks like a hillbilly and has a lisp thing going on now haha
-started a new cleaning and organizing regimine... i'm gonna get everything in tip top shape before the movers come!
-continued going to church, tomorrow i have this little book club/bible study meeting thing.

and that's about it.  super slow lately but it's been in a good way. <3

I basically didn't get any pictures from fourth of July because my phone died early on and I was too busy playing with the kids to notice but it was my favorite so far! spent time with some good friends and we all lit off our own fireworks afterwards. the fourth of July is definitely my favourite holiday, it's so crazy that this was my last one in America for a few years!

I did manage to snap a photo with coco early on in the day and then this morning I took one with my one eyed beauty, dinah.

no power + an injury

this weekend was insane! Friday night before the storm started coco was complaining of a hurt knee and it was way swollen so I took him to the hospital and four hours later, after a power outage and an xray we found out that he fractured a bone in his knee {so weird he never fell or anything!}. poor baby he has little crutches and a knee brace, he is such a champ.

what I thought was just a little storm turned out to have been way worse cos when we finally left at around 1 am I had to dodge about 20 trees in the middle of the road and deal with no street lights and the creepiest fog that was basically straight out of the mist. we slept by candlelight and the next morning my house was an oven. it was 100 degrees all weekend and we were without power from friday until about an hour ago. it felt so awful, this girl is so heat sensitive! I don't know how I survived all those ac-less summers in Europe growing up and I dont know how I plan on surviving the future European summers!

we spent the time grilling outside and doing puzzles and having lots of quiet + calm family time which I really enjoyed. I wouldn't mind more of that!
